Landcom conducts joint research through industry-academia collaboration with Y-GSA (Yokohama Graduate School of Architecture) for the development of high-added-value real estate and new business chances.
In FY2005, the first year of this collaboration, we conducted research on the inner-city district of Yokohama and the residential districts in Yokohama suburbs, and published the results of this joint research in ●▲PROJECTS. In this research, we investigated the areas of Yokohama and Shonan as well as the brands of cities, including research and analysis of past construction history movements, mapping out area-specific lifestyles and housing models corresponding to these lifestyles. Further, in 2007, we established Y-GSA with Mr. Riken Yamamoto as director, complemented by Mr. Koh Kitayama, Mr. Yoshihiko Iida, and Mr. Ryue Nishida as the institution's core team, and have started research activities based on a broad field of view.
